In September, 2008, I flew to London to join the Country Walkers for a tour of the Cotswolds in west England not far from Wales. This was planned as daily walks of 4-6 miles out of two central cities, spending our evenings in a comfortable hotel and having dinner at excellent restaurants.
Heathrow has a direct line to central London, where I caught the train from Paddington Station.
