Yemen is certainly one of the most exotic places I have visited.  A strictly Muslim country which has seen terrorist actions against the US, it is on the State Departments no-go list. ( On Monday, January 26, 2009, there was another terrorist attack on the US Embassy).  However, we were escorted by police wherever we went. Strangely enough, there are still some Jewish tribes who live up in the hills.
